Keeping your smile healthy and beautiful is our priority at The Smile Center in Buffalo. We want you to keep your natural teeth for your entire lifetime. Unfortunately, conditions such as decay, disease, or injury can cause you to lose your adult teeth. When this happens, there is no need to worry; you are in good hands. With dental implants, you can have your teeth restored with comfort and stability.

The Consultation

Anyone who is interested in receiving dental implants for missing teeth will first start with a consultation appointment. During this visit, we take the time to learn more about your concerns and your goals for restorative dental treatment. We will perform a thorough evaluation of your oral health and discuss your options for treatment. You are free to ask us any questions you have about the procedure and recovery time and we will do our best to address any of your concerns. If we determine that you are a candidate for dental implants, we can move forward with scheduling your procedure.

The placement

Dental implants are placed during a minor oral surgery. We offer patients sedation so that they can relax and be comfortable during their procedure.

The implant is then placed over the bone through a small incision into the gum tissue. Once the implant is in place, you will be fitted with a temporary restoration to allow healing time. The healing process for dental implants is extremely important. It is during this time that the implant fuses with the jawbone and becomes part of the structure of the mouth. Once the implant is healed and securely in place, it can be topped with an abutment to hold the restoration.

Your new smile

Your dental implants can be completed with a crown, bridge, or dentures, depending on the number of teeth you are missing.

Your new dental implant restoration will look, feel, and work just like your natural teeth. Our patients all say they are thrilled with how natural their new smiles feel. Many of them even receive remarks on how wonderful their smile looks.
